Association Information

GNAR presently has well over 3,500 members making it the largest trade association in the Greater Nashville area. The Association as you know it today, dates back prior to 1891 as the Nashville Real Estate Exchange.

On July 16, 1911, the local group affiliated with the National Association of Real Estate Boards-a forerunner of the National Association of REALTORS®- and changed its name to the Nashville Real Estate Board.

On May 9, 1996, the Nashville Board of REALTORS® became the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®.

In all its forms, the Association has established an impressive track record of service to both the community and real estate industry. And as in the past, it will continue to evolve in conjunction with membership needs.
